I founded Independent Safety Solutions BOP Ltd in 2013 and since then have been delivering health and safety solutions to over 200 small to medium sized businesses including, transport, engineering, warehouse and manufacturing, sawmills, commercial and residential construction, retail, asbestos removalists, and many more various industries.
I am a professional member of NZISM with over 14 years’ experience working in the health and safety sector. I have obtained the Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Level 6 which have given me the skills and knowledge of NZ legislation in Health and Safety and the relevant supporting Regulations and Guidelines. I have a proven track record of providing effective all-round Health and Safety advice. I attend regular NZISM Branch meetings to continually upskill my knowledge in the H&S sector but also opportunities to engage with other likeminded people to share ideas as a safety practitioner. My approach to Health and Safety is to create a proactive safety culture. I can effectively communicate, influence, and consult with all levels of work groups. I pride myself in developing personal ongoing relationships with all my clients and their workers. My WHY – I truly care about people, everyone matters to me. My goal is to ensure that everyone goes home safely to their families. I am extremely focused and passionate about Health and Safety and really enjoy my work. |

With over 10 years’ experience working in the health and safety sector, I pride myself on being able to build capacity and capability for you and your team to embed robust health, safety, wellbeing and sustainability solutions.
I have experience in many different sectors working as a health and safety generalist alongside clients to develop and imbed health and safety practices through co-design. I hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences Majoring in Human Resources and Industrial Relations as well as a Diploma in Occupational Health and safety which have given me the transferable skills and knowledge to build strong safety cultures. I work alongside your business to develop and imbed systems, practices and processes which align with your mission, vision, and goals - enabling safety differently. Recently I had the privilege of leading a project enabling safety differently in the disability sector. This project was awarded a Judges Commendation award at the 2023 national Safeguard Awards. |
